Does anyone else feel like there's nowhere to just be outside of home and work?

Lately my week is just school, home, repeat. When I do want to get out, it feels like every option costs money, a 45 min subway ride, needs a plan, or is too loud or crowded to actually relax.

One thing that helps is going to the Rose Main Reading Room at the NYPL. Just sitting there with a book for an hour makes me feel so much better, but I wish I knew more places like it.

Does anyone else feel this way? What makes it hard for you to find somewhere to go? And if you've found a spot you love, where is it and how did you find it?

This is also for a student research project on how people find places to unwind. If you're comfortable, please add a few details to your answer, like your age range, whether you work (in-office, remote, or hybrid) or study, and your neighborhood or borough.
