Filipino SLPs who went through the SPA process β how did you apply? π΅ππ¦πΊ
Iβm currently preparing to apply for Speech Pathology Australia (SPA) membership/assessment and would really appreciate some guidance from Filipino SLPs who have already gone through the process.
Could anyone share their experience regarding:
- π Necessary documents for each phase/stage
- π What to expect and prepare for in each phase
- β³ How long each stage usually takes
- πΌ Examples of employment evidence, practice evidence, and recent SLP work evidence that were accepted
- π What documents you requested from your university/employers/clinic
- π Common issues, missing documents, or mistakes to avoid
- π° Any fees or additional costs I should anticipate
- π¦πΊ What comes after SPA approval and what the next steps are for working in Australia
For context, Iβm a Filipino SLP currently practicing in the Philippines and have been working as an SLP for several years. Iβm also currently preparing my documents and taking the IELTS soon.
If youβre a Filipino SLP who has already completed SPA Phase 1 or the full SPA process, Iβd really appreciate any tips, a checklist, or even a breakdown of what you did at each stage.
Thank you so much! π
