Something I noticed about the sift and this is a slight speculation especially since I'm playing minecraft dungeons II

So I was playing minecraft dungeons II And I'm having quite the fun with it but, I got to use the staff and it uses well "souls" and the sift seems to be pretty much related to the after all, and souls and all of that..

But this got me thinking about since thats a main thing also with the sift, are we we going to have a mana system in minecraft in the future? with magic staffs and so on? if we are going with the idea of using souls as a mana ammo

Not to mention this is our first view of the sift so whatever is going to be put in minecraft is going to be from dungeons
