The Best Open Mics Are Not The Comedy Ones

Open mics with just comedians are good for meeting other comics, but often TERRIBLE for practicing jokes.

You’ve all probably been there: nobody is really listening, they’re focused on their own sets, etc.

DO THIS INSTEAD
Go to a music or poetry or any other open mic that isn’t solely comedians.

The audience won’t be expecting it. They will be curious. And they will LISTEN.
They will laugh IF you deserve it. They won’t if you don’t.
