First piercing!

I got my first ear piercing! I've been wanting to since I was young but my fear of needles held me back. Now that I have them pierced though I'm coming up to some questions I hope some of you don't mind answering 🙏

After the piercing is completely healed (1 year +) does the type of metal matter? I do understand that anything that could tarnish or rust isn't a good idea in general. Do other metals have a bad impact?

I'm coming up to my one month mark with my ears pierced which has made me really excited to change the earring. Unfortunately though, as I was cleaning my ears I found that my left ear had bl*d a little. Does this mean that I have to wait longer to change it?

Final question, do you have to clean new/store bought jewelry before use?

I feel like some of these are no-brainers but I really want to get things right the first time and know for my next one.
