Need help using "Xentry Advanced KeyGen 1.1"

I am using Xentry C6 VCI (OpenShell). Xentry Diagnostics version 39.8.2.1 with data status 06/2026. It is already installed on a bare metal notebook and is working just fine. I made a bare metal image and a VM image of the installation to run on an emergency notebook in case this environment dies. I can't seem to generate a proper StartKey for either emergency environment. I obtained the HWID and APPID from the ConfigAssist app. I enter those two values into Xentry Advanced KeyGen 1.1 along with the following: Pub Version: 9, User Count: 1, start/end dates and license number: 1 (I also tried 11). When I go back and enter them into ConfigAssist, it says they are invalid.

A couple questions:

1. What do I need to do to get proper keys? What am I not doing or what am I doing wrong?

2. In the ConfigAssist app, the working bare metal system has an APPID of 252. The emergency notebook bare metal APPID is 252. The emergency notebook VM image has an APPID of 253. What do those values represent?
