[24/F] Korea Looking for Pen Pals to Write to Every Day!

Hi everyone. I previously made a post on here about 18 days ago, but it wasn't very comprehensive and didn't really show off my personality well, so I thought I would try again.

Since making the post, I've sent off a little over half a dozen letters. I've also joined Postcrossing. I wake up in the morning, make myself a cup of tea, and then journal and write a letter or a postcard. I have found the routine to be really enjoyable and gives me something to look forward to everyday. All of my letters to my pen pals have been different and I've written about Korean holidays, the city I'm currently living in, history, jobs, to name a few topics. I'm trying to write at least one letter every day, so I'm here looking for more people who would like to exchange snail mail or postcards!

I can carry on a very vivid conversation over writing. I am looking to exchange first letters at the same time (we will both send each other addresses so we don't have to wait to start writing).

Anyway, on to part that actually shares information about me!

Hobbies and interests:

• Knitting, especially basic vanilla socks and any projects that require rows and rows of stockinette in the round. I also crochet, but not as much anymore. I haven't successfully finished any big knit or crochet projects like a blanket, but I've made tons of hats, socks, finished one knit shirt and I'm making good progress on a scarf for my brother.
• Reading classics, romance, mysteries. See below for more information.
• Videogames, but just the casual ones. I have played most games in the Persona series, the Ace Attorney series, and the Style Savvy series. I have played a good deal of Stardew Valley and all of the Fire Emblem games on 3DS.
• Writing and journaling, of course! I am compiling a list of journaling and list prompts and starting an Instagram to document my journaling journey! I write everyday, sometimes 2-3 times a day.
• Collecting stationery, I like stickers, memo paper, pens, fountain pens, washi tape, etc. All of our letters will be at least minimally decorated or in special stationery! Give me a reason to use up all of this stationery so I can buy more!
• History: I like learning about all periods of history from all regions. In university, I was especially interested in the Mongol empire, the Crusades, Plantagenet England/the Angevin Empire, the Roman empire, Sengoku Japan, Three Kingdoms China, revolutionary America and early modern history generally speaking. My favorite historical figures to read and learn about is Richard the Lionheart and Jeremy Bentham.
• Philosophy: I majored in philosophy in university. Most of my studies were concentrated on ethics. We can write and talk about it as I would love to continue discussing and engaging with it.
• Sports: I follow the NHL and MLB. See below for more elaboration!
• Boardgames: I used to work at a boardgame cafe and have a boardgame arena subscription. Some of my favorite games are Obsession and Wingspan.
• Talking to people: I am a very curious and often nosy person. I love reading about people's personal lives, joys, and problems. If anything is on your mind, please feel free to share with me!

Favorites

Favorite Major League Baseball teams: New York Yankees. The San Francisco Giants are a distant second and the Chicago Cubs are in third place. I would love to learn more about other teams and the rest of the league or to exchange letters to a diehard fan of any of these teams.

Favorite NHL teams: Pittsburgh Penguins, Minnesota Wild. My favorite players are stereotypically Sidney Crosby and Kirill Kaprizov. I own only 2 hockey jerseys and they are those two's home jerseys. I would love to discuss anything and everything going on in the NHL though!

Favorite book: Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. Emma is a close second. I love Austen. I also like to read mysteries, especially Japanese ones. Some Japanese authors I have read are Yukito Ayatsuji, Soji Shimada, Seishi Yokomizo, and Higashino Keigo. Finally, I enjoy a good bit of romance. My favorite romance author is Courtney Milan, who mostly writes historical romance. I used to read a lot of manga (childhood favorites are Naruto and Detective Conan, an adult favorite is Ping Pong), but not much anymore.

Favorite mascots/characters: I love cute things, so I enjoy cute characters from Sanrio/San-X/Kakao Friends/whatever else. My favorite Sanrio character is Pompompurin. My favorite Kakao Friends character is Choonsik.

Favorite videogames: Stardew Valley, Style Savvy series, Ace Attorney series, Persona series
