Competitive kpoping ruins literally everything

This isn't new by any means, but I think I just reached my absolute limit. It has become so rare to see people stating their opinion on a group/idol, either positive or negative, without it being a comparison with their faves. It's so absurdly annoying to keep reading "i like/hate x, so much better/worse than z" why is that at all relevant to the discussion??

And like, I don't care and have never cared about glazing, it's natural, we all do it with the things with love, that is not the point. The point is this competitiveness between kpop fandoms to see who's best, who's worst, who owned such era, who's the leader of x/y/z generation.

I don't care if one group outsold my faves, I don't care if someone charted higher. As long as the group i stan is doing well to maintain their careers and getting the recognition they deserve, that's ALL that matters. This weird constant fight to have your fave be the absolute, uncontested, ultimate number 1 or the universe is tiringa nd boring and distracts from actual genuine enjoyment of the craft idols put out.

I've fallen for these competitive narratives before and I'm done for real. Anyway, that was my fed up rant. Thank for reading lol.
