Once when I was 10 I bought pokemon cards at walmart and my sister who was 4 at the time got jealous that she couldn’t get anything too and made a scene so my mom told her that she should learn to be more grateful for what she has cause in japan they sleep on the floor instead of beds but like

I know she was referring to how many people there sleep on futons but futons predate western style beds in japan and many people prefer them to beds so that argument is just invalid. And like did she seriously learn that some people there in the first world highly developed nation of japan sleep on futons and was like “wow those people live in destitution over there” 😭
