Conflicts that have always bothered me since this trial….
In MA, just a few months before this trial, we were all inundated with Karen Read’s trial and John O’Keefe’s body temperature. We listened in length about it as the explanation of a timeline.
That being said - I think that is why so many latched onto Lindsay’s temp when it was brought up at this one. As soon as I heard it, it set off some alarm bells for me too.
I had also always wondered why the children’s deaths were not more firmly confirmed with body temps as well. I understand Cora and Dawson were declared dead at the hospital so that would have been impossible for evidentiary sake. But when taking in logic, it made more sense to me.
But this is something many seem to completely disconnect when trying to connect the dots. The children were in a state that medical professionals and many of them thought they COULD TRY TO SAVE ALL OF THEM on their way to and at the hospital. If they were not, the medical examiner would have been at the house, and not 3 ambulances taking these babies out. The examiners said that it would have taken them 6-8 minutes for them to pass. Callan still had the slightest of chances.
So….if Patrick was on time stamped video in places outside of his home for 40 minutes, then who else could have done it?? Literally no other logical suspect exists.
Lindsay was small and skinny, hurt, under the influence of meds (which she could have taken at 4pm for all we know in the kitchen with her two spoons KR talked about today) bleeding, under dressed (her shoes are in the bedroom on her floor btw in the pictures), outside in snow on a 30 degree night with a neck injury that paralyzed her. Injuries of the neck and spine can make hypothermia set in far faster than a healthy person. One google search will tell you that a cervical spine injury disrupts the blood flow and nerves that regulate body temp.
So, if you suspect there is no evidence - after watching in court while her lawyer admitted it, she conceded to evidence that would have proved it, and her admissions of what happened to not one but 4-5 doctors - who could have done it?
Innocent people do not let their lawyer admit, or concede to damning evidence in court over and over again. Lawyers do not let clients repeat the story of incrimination to people over and over again.
She did not wake up and ask for her kids. She did not wake up and ask if they were okay, like one might do if they were hurt by someone else or an outside circumstance. She did not wake up and ask for her husband or mom or dad. She asked “do I need a lawyer.” Reddington did not ask any doctor probing questions about these children or Lindsay’s body temps or provable medical states. He did not ask Patrick probing questions either. This guys is one of the best and top rated lawyers in Massachusetts. You think he would not have asked if he was suspicious of anyone else committing this crime?
I do not understand why any of these things are so hard to believe? You can’t pick and choose which science is right when every single person had the same exact narrative. To say so means that every single person who testified is lying to convict an innocent woman. They literally cannot all be lying.
