Unfiled Speeding Ticket

Location: Washington State

Hello, I received a speeding ticket on 9/19. I tried to pay it today (9/29) at my district court but they told me I was unable to because the ticket wasn’t filed in their system. They told me to email them in a week for an update. I’m just wondering if I can get the ticket dismissed if they haven’t filed it by next week due to untimely filing/action. If I am able to do that what would it entail (appearing in court, hiring an attorney, etc.)?
