Author Spotlight and Book Recommendation Thread

Let’s shine a light into the darkness.

Each week we’ll feature a grimdark or dark fantasy author, classic, obscure, or indie, and talk about what makes their work grimdark.

You can drop:

• A book recommendation (new or old)
• A short summary or quote that captures its tone
• Or a few lines on why this author stands out in the genre

To start, here’s one from me:

Paul Kearney – The Monarchies of God
Five short, brutal books that prove you don’t need a thousand pages to show the fall of empires. Politics, faith, and war without mercy.

Now your turn. Who deserves the spotlight? Which grimdark book or author should more people read?
