Can I move my boot drive to another computer?

I’ve been buying parts to build a new pc, the only thing I plan on taking from the current pc is the ram, gpu, psu, and both of the SSDs I have inside. In the past I’ve ran into issues with the proprietary parts, and I’ve heard that the chipset on the motherboard will not allow certain cpus to work with the pc. So before I move my ssds I want to make sure there will be no problems moving my boot drive from the Omen 30L, to the new pc. Once again, I will not be taking the motherboard, cpu, or cpu cooler. On a side note, I have also heard that the psu on Omen pcs can also be proprietary, is that true for all Omen pcs or will that be something I have to check? Thanks in advance.
