Keychain Question

Hi all! Posted on here a while ago with a keychain question and I'm here with another. Basically, I was wondering, for those of you who turned your concert bracelets into keychains, was cotton fabric folded a few times strong enough? Also, in your experience/opinion, is it better to just use a random metal clasp with superglue to attach the actual key chain part or should I sew a loop on the end of the fabric and try to run a medal ring through that? Thank you!
