Needing to grind on reddit to allow posting on certain forums

I don't understand why Reddit blocks access to communities without certain credit points? Isn't the point of Reddit to provide free and open communication? By enforcing grinding roadblocks to communication you are establishing a centralized authority for communication. This is like communism.

(google says this is to reduce spam... yet you allow me to post here... and on smaller forums... this makes me think reddit is elitist... is there another conclusion?)

Can reddit provide a mission statement in response to this that explains this positioning?

If this is the position Reddit is essentially a pay for communication strategy. My time and my money needs to be invested to just speak my mind. Maybe if I sent you money you would let me into the forums ... There are these barriers to posting that are rediculous and nonesensical.

You are either facilitating communication or you are a communistic type centralized authority that is trying to control it. Pick your side. State it honestly. And publicly announce it. Otherwise you are just another fake internet site (with motives opposite of what you advertise).

I am being prompted with warnings to post this because its a rant.

Is that against the law?

No its not?

Then why is reddit warning me about this?

Again - it's like a communistic control over communication.

It's not against the law - why are you warning me?

Did I sign a clause saying I would not rant on reddit when I signed up... Maybe but I doubt it. Isn't that one of the main reasons to be on reddit? (I googled searched this and there is no such clause)

And you are trying to deny me that? Nice! That proves my point here. You cannot accept criticism and want everything your way all the time. That is not the way to allow freedom and communication.
