Year three of working from home and a few things I didn't expect

The electric bill. Computer, monitor, lights and AC or heat running all day adds up faster than I thought.

I eat everything in the fridge by 2pm. Every day.

Video calls wear me out way more than in-person meetings did. Six calls in a day and I'm done for the evening.

The desk turned into a hobby. I've spent more time on cable routing and monitor height than on decorating the rest of the apartment combined. The Smart Display Hub was the last piece, the laptop comes off the desk with one cable now and the mess stays hidden behind the monitor.

Commute is ten seconds and I'm still late to the first meeting half the time.

Wouldn't go back to an office. The adjustment took longer than I thought it would though.
