HBCU Grad Degree in English

hello hello! i went to a pwi for undergrad but sometimes long for the hbcu experience. i am passionate about poetry and really want to get my mfa in creative writing to better my craft, build a portfolio, and enjoy the resources/networking that being in university offers, though i can't find an hbcu that offers that exact degree program. I've only found masters of arts for english/literature. i don't mind the compromise in exchange for the experience though tbh.

i'm writing this to see if any of you all have obtained an english masters from an hbcu. if so, which school, why did you get this degree, and how was your experience?

also, if this is poorly written, do not use this as an assessment of my writing skills lol. this is social media and i am tired.
