Relationship Adivce For Having ZERO Experience In It, That Is Currently Talking To A Guy, But Unsure About It.

I've never had dated anyone before, as I never went out of my way to talk to a guy. I already had one talking stage that lasted for about a month but found out he came up to me and was only forced to talk to me and not his free will. That's the only thing I've experienced. Now there's a guy that I just met in college and I'm unsure if this is normal for guys to do or it's just cause I've never experienced this before. But I was sitting outside at a table by myself doing my school work and a guy comes over to me and start off saying "your outfit looks nice." Totally normal in my mind for someone to compliment an outfit. Than he goes and says I'm cute and was throwing a lot of compliments at me. I am socially awkward with this kind of thing, and you know I try to make small talk, but I've never seen this guy's before, so I had really no idea why he came up to me. He starts asking me questions and I respond to some of them. I told him I played a sport and some little stuff about me. Well he gives me a high five, normal in my mind. Than he asked if I've ever dated before and I said no and he said he could tell. I told him i was socially awkward with all this and (never gets in these situations) because sometimes I think that kind of puts someone off. Instead he says he finds my social awkwardness cute and attractive. Than he got my number because he was a genuine nice guy and he was cute so I gave him my number. Than he already talked about picking me up from my house and going on dates. Than saying to hang out in campus the next week. I only agreed to hanging out on the campus thing since it's a public space, and I only know his name and some things about him, but I wasn't comfortable telling a guy I just met where I lived. I don't know if this approach from a guy is normal especially before he left he asked for a hug and I didn't know how to react, maybe I'm a pushover a little and just gave him a hug and than texted when he left how my hug was the best and that he wish he could get 10 more from me... I have no idea what to do and if this is normal for a guy to do.
