Drifting from my best friend

My friend and I went to college together and played on an NCAA sport team together (won’t mention where and what sport just for anonymity) and we are now 28. I give that context because we experienced a lot together in college and the sport thing will come back to the story later. For 4 years, she has been in a toxic relationship and for the last two years she has said she wants to leave him and is very unhappy. Going so far as to saying at the end of this last school year, she would leave him (they work at the same school). She’s stayed with him for way too long because they live together and she is very conflict avoidant so she’d rather stay with him and not have to uproot her life and get her own place or see him at work, even though if they broke up he’d move away immediately because he hates it here and only moved here back when he was in college and stayed for her. I have listened to her complain about him a million times, offered advice, and told her my husband and I would help her move and welcomed her to our guest room however long she would need it if she needed a place to stay. I even encouraged her to write a letter to him saying all the things she wants to say and why she doesn’t want to be with him, not with the intention of reading or giving it to him but just so she could let it all out and hopefully get her to finally make the hard decision. He was supposed to move away and start a new job in August and she was going to use that as her way out. He has been miserable and hates living where we live, she likes living here and her job keeps her here. Ever since he knew he was going to be moving he was being nicer and actually being a decent partner like doing dishes and occasionally cooking when she usually does all of that on top of working two jobs (bare minimum, I know). But, his job fell through and because of the few weeks he was treating her better she’s staying with him. On top of this, we only really talk about our old sport stories from college because she is still involved with that college sport so it’s her whole life while I’ve outgrown it immensely. So the majority of our conversations are her complaining about her bf that she won’t leave and bringing up old college stories that we’ve talked about a million times. I feel like I’ve progressed a lot in my life and just like we have nothing in common anymore. I have hobbies and like to try new things, her only hobby is the same sport we played and literally nothing else. I like to read and learn, she scrolls social media and doesn’t really do any self educating on any topics so we never have intellectual conversations which is something I crave. I got married to an amazing man and have a healthy relationship, she can’t leave the guy she has literally says she hates and talks shit about to whoever will listen that she started dating at the same time I started dating my now husband. And I’m not saying this to be self righteous I’m just trying to show how different we’ve become post college. I don’t want to hear anymore about this man and how terrible he is when she continues to stay. She also recently hired this girl that hated me. This girl was so malicious to me that at my own birthday party, not to mention my best friend invited her knowing she hated me, was writing “fuck *my name*” on our whiteboard. We were roommates at the time and she was still on the sport team with this girl that hated me for no good reason. So for her to hire this person to be working with her everyday just feels like the cherry on top of it all. Idk if I should just have a serious convo with her or what to do but I just don’t feel good about our friendship anymore and it’s sad. I see a lot of potential in her as a person to overcome all of this but it’s just hard to watch her make bad decision after bad decision.
