Fishing Keuka from Shore (or kayak)
Hello lovely people of the Finger Lakes.
I'm heading up to Keuka this weekend for a few days, northwest side, with a few friends. I was just curious if anyone had any tips for shore fishing (and maybe kayak fishing, if we decide to grab some). I figured we'd target smallmouth and maybe look for some table fare (perch, crappie, if they're around). Lake trout would be fun, but I'm not sure that's something you can do from shore.
Any tips or tricks for these species would be helpful (or any others). It seems like you can get to some decent depth just from a dock. I also know the environment has been changing with the drop off in alewives and the introduction of gobie. Hopefully someone has some recent reports on the state of things!
Thanks in advance!
