I built a programming language with Portuguese syntax that runs on Android
My name is Arthur, I'm 14, from Brazil. I've been building a language called TupiCython for the past few months. Just shipped v1.0.
TupiCython is a programming language fully in Portuguese, with a custom interpreter written from scratch in Java, that runs natively on Android.
Technical highlights:
- Custom lexer, parser, AST, and runtime (no ANTLR, no parser generators)
- OOP with classes, inheritance, closures
- Exception handling with tenta/pega/finalmente
- Native UI components (buttons, inputs, sliders)
- Built-in HTTP server
- AI framework with tensors, matmul, AdamW, BPE tokenizer
- Package manager that installs modules from GitHub
Example (calculator in 15 lines):
importe Tela
var j = Tela.cria("Calculadora")
Tela.texto(j, "Digite dois números:")
var n1 = Tela.entrada(j, "Primeiro:")
var n2 = Tela.entrada(j, "Segundo:")
Tela.botao(j, "Somar", funcao()
var a = numero(Tela.valor(n1))
var b = numero(Tela.valor(n2))
Tela.escrever(j, "Soma: " .. (a + b))
fim)
Tela.mostra(j)

Would love technical feedback, especially on the interpreter design.
Thanks.
