Normally very mean relative w/ Parkinson’s is suddenly overly kind & acting caring towards me when they used to be nasty

Confused about what the sudden change is. Have to deal with this relative once a week to make their Dr appt’s online. For over a decade this person has been extremely verbally mean, nasty using cruel words, making offensive comments about me under their breathe, making up false beliefs/accusations & tattle - telling to family members their lies. Always acted hateful to me.

Lately. They are acting like they care about me, being concerned, trying to hug me, using a soft voice, patient, acting like they have loved me forever.. I’m so confused !

Did they just realize I’m not a bad person or something?

What is happening?

I’ve been Leary & becoming suspicious of the hidden agenda & comparing the behavior to a serial killer
