School event continued until 1AM despite students fainting. Is this normal?

Need Advice

This happened on September 29, 2026. There was an event at our school, and the gate was only opened when the event ended at 1 AM on September 30, 2026. A lot of things happened during that time. At least 10 students fainted because of dehydration, hunger, and the heat, and some were hospitalized. No food was provided, and we were not informed that the event would continue that late. The founder of the school saw many ambulances and students being carried by the medical team, yet the event continued.

There were also judges at the event who were an attorney, engineer, connected to police smth, etc. They were all professionals. Some students did not have transportation home, and at that hour, there were barely any rides available. There is a bus for students, but it only goes to the town center. Some students live 20–30 minutes away from there.

Is this normal in other schools? Where can we ask for help? This happened somewhere in Luzon, Philippines.

We are college students at a private school.
