Muse + SSH access
Today I asked Muse, which I've been using for a week, to try to connect to my laptop through SSH. I'm on Fedora 44 KDE. It was a little challenging to make work, but with tor and a key (no password log in) it all went pretty smooth.
Some things we did - first, it changed my desktop background to announce it was here. I asked it to do that. It also just made a random text file on my desktop saying it had landed. That was fun to discover.
We played around with some vision tools on Maptool - a VTT for games. It doesn't know how to use it well, and it has to screenshot then guestimate where to click, but it worked.
I asked it to build me a local version of itself. It created a python script that will run a qwen model. It gave the Jr a web search function, which works, and the ability to self-improve. Relatively fast on my laptop - with just a 4060 8GB in it. I'm looking at other nifty things, such as simultaneous chat + agent stuff like Muse can do.
I wouldn't mind a thought/process window so I can see what it's doing. I think that's going to have to be a second shell with a piped output.
Anyway, I'm no expert in any of this. Muse led me through it all. I can use my phone to have Muse do things on my local computer - include activate my local AI so IT can do the hard work. Save tokens and whatever. I'm not clear how I might use that, but maybe I'll figure it out. Or maybe I'll load up a small Spark model and not worry about it? Anywho.
This COULD NOT POSSIBLY BE SAFE.
