Considering Omnipod 5, Concerned about TDI/Basal

Advice

I am currently on MDI with a 6.8 A1C so all things considered I do ok but I feel like there are some benefits to an automated system that can make my life easier.

Reading up on how the Omnipod algorithm works, it seems to set basal at 50% TDI. I eat pretty low carb throughout the day due to some diet concerns so my basal/bolus split is closer to 40% bolus 60% basal split. I have my ratios down and Im sure they will change once on the pod but I'm concerned with my basal changing to a lower amount. Is this just something I'd need to get used to and completely relearn my I:C bolus ratio to account for it when the algorithm changes after the first 3-5 pods?

It seems like it'll take a few months to get dialed in well but I'm wondering if anyone else had a non 50:50 split and how they deal with it.
