ATIP file looks like it sunk my case.

Naturalization as a Minor

Well I finally got my ATIP file on my naturalization in Canada at age 11. Of course it arrived the week after I sent in my Determination application to the BVA.

It looked pretty good at that point, certified copies of grandparents birth certificates, marriage license, mother's birth certificate (all from Frankenthal) and my birth certificate from Innsbruck in 1947.

To cement my claim I even included my Meldekarte from Karlsruhe in 1953.

Sadly on perusing the ATIP naturalization file I cam across a page headed "Application on behalf of a minor child for a certificate of citizenship and/or a miniature certificate"

Am I correct in assuming that this was a separate application filed on my behalf at age 11 by my single mother and as such my German citizenship was irrevocably lost?

If so is there any other avenue open to me, assuming I get a negative determination?

TIA
