Does the Sony 1000x Collexion hinge break easily like the other Sony headphones?

So I’m planning on buying either the Xm6s or the 1000x Collexions soon but I’m not sure if I should spend the extra money on the 1000x solely because of its build quality. I had some xm5s and the hinge unfortunately broke not even after a year of use and I didn’t even use them every day. But I’ve heard that the 1000x are made of leather and have metal hinges so I’m wondering if anyone knows if they the hinge breaks like the xms and if I should get warranty if I do end up going with the 1000x. If anyone has any other headphone recommendations too I would greatly appreciate that as well.
