Gaming setup evolution from year one to year three
Year one: laptop on a desk, stock charger, $20 mouse. Played everything on medium and thought it looked great.
Year two: 240Hz monitor, mechanical keyboard, a mouse I didn't buy at a gas station. Games felt a little better but not as much as I expected, and it took me months to figure out why. The monitor was running at 60Hz through my hub the whole time.
Year three: switched to another Display Hub and the monitor runs at 240 now. Also added the VALORANT collab charger for the battery care, a headphone stand and a desk mat. It looks like a setup now and not a laptop on a table.
The refresh rate fix is the only change on the list I can feel in game. The rest is comfort.
