What would you recommend as an everyday laundry care lineup for a beginner?

I used to just use whatever was the cheapest laundry detergent in the store and buy scent beads for fun. I literally had no idea there was a whole world around laundry care, which makes me feel silly at my ripe mid 30s age.

So I'm looking for help on what I should buy as essentials for laundry. Here's some stuff to know:

- I do laundry every day. I'm a mom and have a growing family. Some days its my clothes, some days its my kids, some days its towels and bedding, etc etc.

- I currently use powdered oxy clean and All Free and Clear.

- My biggest annoyance is that my clothes specifically are getting oil stains from the wash and I have no idea why. It's ruined so many of my clothes.

- I stopped using scent beads!

- It seems like my clothes, sometimes, shrink a bit after a wash and dry cycle and I also have no idea why. I have tried to look it up but it seems to still happen.

-My husband and kids have sensitive redhead skin.

What laundry detergent should I buy? Powdered or liquid?

What gets rid of oil stains or prevents them?

What wash cycle should I use? I usually do everything in delicate so the water is cold. Is that wrong?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
