RBT vs Ophthalmic Tech

I’m currently an RBT and I have an opportunity to become an ophthalmic tech (leaving my current job).

RBT pros:

I’m set in my routine which is good bc I’m studying for the MCAT. I like my patients and the pay is pretty good. Pay is great

Cons:

Management is unpredictable and the hours are inconsistent sometimes

Optho pros:

More traditional clinical experience.

Optho cons:

$4 pay cut, gamble if management will like me, steep learning curve and balancing MCAT studying with that could be tough

Idk what to do but I’m not sure if Optho tech is worth me leaving my current job
