Has EQ/RS attendance gone up in your ward since the schedule change?
Attendance in both EQ and RS in my ward has increased since the Sunday meeting schedule shakeup. I think it's between 30-50% increase in EQ. I'd love to hear if your ward is the same, and also have a discussion about why you think that is. Time will tell whether the attendance bump is a temporary blip or something more permanent. I'd love to discuss with anyone who has solid ideas about this.
If it's a temporary blip, why is the new meeting schedule compelling/enticing enough that suddenly more people are coming now?
If it's a permanent shift, I'm confused why EQ and RS are suddenly easier to attend (or harder to skip). If it's easier to attend now, what does that say about what people are getting out of EQ and RS, or looking to get out of it? If it's harder to skip now, then why is it something people want to skip in the first place?
The fact that the answers to these questions are not obvious to me has me thinking that I need to hear from others about their experience. If you are someone who didn't go to EQ/RS as much before the schedule change, but now you're going every week or nearly every week, why the change? I'd also love to hear where you're from; curious if geography/culture is influencing attendance trends. I'm hailing from Utah.
