What's the worst layoff you've ever experienced?

New here, I can't believe there's already a flair for this topic 😅

Novato site of Biomarin Pharmaceuticals has reduced headcount by 52% within 3 days. My entire department was essentially wiped out. The event was nothing short of distressing, and my head was spinning from the shock of it all. Morale is at an all time low, and the remaining employees are concerned about taking on substantially more work + the ~possibility~ of constantly having to train temps.
