I’m 6'0" and 155 lb, with a very long torso, short legs, and a 32" pant inseam. I’ve been waiting for the sale, but I’m still torn between the LiberNovo Omni and Maxis.

My wife helped me take some seated measurements. With my butt against the backrest, the distance to the back of my knee is approximately 18.25"–18.6". LiberNovo’s fit guide recommends leaving 2–3 fingers between the front of the seat cushion and the back of your knee. Allowing for that clearance would subtract approximately 1.5"–2.25" from my seated depth. Does that make the Omni’s 45 cm (17.72") seat the only option that might fit my build? The Maxis’s 52 cm (20.47") seat depth seems to rule it out altogether.

My concern with the Omni is whether the headrest adjusts high enough for my shoulders and torso. Seated, I measure 26" from the seat cushion to the top of my shoulders. The area where the back of my head starts to protrude, not even its furthest point, is approximately 32"–33.5" above the cushion.

If I understand the dimensions on LiberNovo’s website correctly, at its highest setting, the bottom of the headrest sits only 3.1" above the top of the backrest. If that's correct it puts the the very top of the headrest at a maximum of about 32" above the seat cushion.

Unless I’m missing something, it sounds like the headrest would cradle the back of my neck at best. At worst, I’m concerned it would constantly jab into the tops of my shoulders if it cannot adjust far enough back.

Can anyone around 6' tall with a longer torso share whether the headrest rises high enough to support your head when you lean back? Does having your shoulders slightly above the top of the backrest cause any problems?

Am I misunderstanding the seat depth measurement? I know my legs are short for my height, but I wouldn’t expect to need the smallest 45 cm seat when the chair is also designed to accommodate someone a full foot shorter than me. Does the lumbar adjustment extend far enough forward to make the Maxis’s 52 cm seat depth work for someone with a 30" waist and 32" inseam, even though my seated measurement using the table method is approximately 47 cm?

Both ChatGPT and Gemini strongly advised against choosing a seat that is too deep, saying it could restrict circulation or force me to sit forward, away from the lumbar support, negating the ergonomic benefits.

I’ll be using the footrest full time for a while. I badly fractured my heel and had surgery to install a plate and screws three months ago. My foot still swells significantly when it hangs down, so I’m keeping it elevated for now. However, this chair costs roughly 10 times what I’ve spent on any previous chair. I want it to last a long time and fit properly without requiring me to use a footrest permanently.

I know I can return it, but I’m concerned about the hassle, especially since I can’t carry something like this while on crutches. I’m also worried that if the Omni’s backrest and headrest are too low, the fall sale will be over by the time I receive it and complete the return
