Financial news are for elites?????

Maybe financial news isn’t complicated. Maybe it’s just badly written.
I keep seeing people say:
“If you don’t understand financial news, just learn finance.”
I don’t completely buy that.
Look at this:
“Stocks fell as investors reassessed the path of monetary policy amid persistent inflationary pressures.”
Now imagine you’ve never studied finance.
What did you actually learn from that sentence?
Probably nothing.
Here’s how I’d explain it:
“Stocks fell because investors think interest rates might stay high for longer.”
Same idea.
One sentence makes you feel like you need a finance degree.
The other tells you what actually happened.
That bothered me enough that I built PlainMarket.
It takes real financial news and breaks it into:
What happened → Why it matters → Catalyst → Sector → Industry → Vocabulary
The goal isn’t to make finance “dumb.”
It’s to remove the unnecessary jargon so beginners can actually get into the game.
And honestly, I’m not sure if I’m right.
Maybe the jargon is necessary.
Maybe simplifying financial news removes important nuance.
Maybe beginners should have to learn the terminology first.
What do you think?
Is financial news genuinely complicated?
Or have we just normalized making simple ideas sound complicated?
I built this to test the idea:
