I copied my coworker’s chair settings
My coworker and I have the exact same LiberNovo Omni Pro. Same seat size, both bought directly from their site, and we’re not that different in height or weight. He loves his. Mine was bothering me.
It felt pretty good for the first 20 minutes or so, but after sitting for a couple hours I’d get this weird pressure right above my butt. I also kept sliding forward without really noticing. I tried moving the lumbar support up and down, but neither position felt right. By the time I got out of the chair, my lower back would be stiff for a minute. Since I’d only had it for a few days, I was already thinking about returning it.
Then I sat in my coworker’s chair again and his was actually comfortable. I rolled it over next to mine so I could compare the settings. The main thing I noticed was that he sat higher than I did. I had already tried different seat heights, but I kept lowering mine again because that was how I’d always used my previous chairs. His armrests were lower and pulled farther inward too. The headrest sat farther back, and the lumbar support was higher than where I had mine.
I copied his setup and made myself leave the seat higher for the rest of the day. It felt a little weird at first, but the lumbar support landed in a different spot and I wasn’t creeping toward the front of the seat anymore.
I’ve used it that way for a few longer work sessions now. I’m not sliding forward anymore, that spot above my butt isn’t getting sore, and my back feels better when I stand up.
I’m still within the return period, so I’m going to give it another week before deciding. For now, I’m not planning on sending it back.
