People are living too long these days...

As a society we seem to pride ourselves in our medical advancements and better Healthcare. Which isn't a bad thing, before even the most basic antibiotics people were dying from very frivolous injuries (by today's standards), and the mortality rate during childbirth was insanely high.

Now the average age of a person, (both sexes combined) is over 80 years old (in most developed countries - With the majority living longer.

Some issues we now face...

*Quality of life* - Beyond 80 years old, the odds of having a good quality of life are getting slim. None of us want to spend the last few year living on a machine, but it's more common than ever.

*Healthcare* - Our Healthcare is heavily taxed due to the large senior population right now.

*Cost* - The amount of money in Federal pensions is paying is reaching new limits due to the babyboomer generation retiring.

*Resources* - The baby boomer generation is our largest generation currently. The amount of food, and water, and other resources they consume is large.
