Behind on thesis- time management/general tips?

I’m in my 4th year of undergrad and doing a self directed thesis course this year. We’re about 2–3 weeks into the semester, and I honestly haven’t done much yet in terms of reading or narrowing down my research question and its damn near October, so I’ve started to feel a bit behind.

I’m definitely locking in now, but I’d really appreciate hearing what a general thesis timeline looked like for other people. Around when did you narrow down your research question, finish most of your literature review, start data collection, etc.?

Any advice for getting back on track and staying on top of things would also be really appreciated.
