Does any other cat take this personally?

I mean, I feel like I'm a pretty good warrior, and I've been one for moons! And yet the next round of apprentices go by and I'm not made a mentor to one of them. I've seen cats younger than me get apprentices that they don't even want! I don't know, am I overreacting?
