Moving to Dalyellup
Hi everyone, we're potential transplants from the east coast - we love the south west! As with most tourists we are usually down around Margaret River but when looking for a place to base ourselves in, I'm looking for somewhere within 15-20 mins walk to the beach that we can afford.
We were in Dalyellup recently and saw some land parcel options. It seems like a lot of new housing in the area, with plans for more land releases.
Our familiarity is more around the areas west of Busselton but they are going to be out of budget. We can afford something further south with the new land releases around Cow town but that takes walking to the beach out of the equation, and is a bit far from the airport.
Our jobs can be done remotely fortunately so commute isn't an issue. We will need to travel to Asia at times, so driving to Perth airport will be necessary until Busselton airport starts flying overseas.
As outsiders, is there anything we should know about Dalyellup and the surrounding areas? Are there going to be more more land releases by the beach?
(Also I'm a lot more impressed by the the quality of the development in the area compared to the east coast. Double brick is standard, for instance. Are new build defects less common in the west or am I just ignorant?)
