Looking for a job

I'm a degree in mechanical engineering grad, BEM member. So the story starts like this, right after I finish my last semester my mum went through a surgery due to that I had to find job near my house as I need to be near to her. I just accepted an offer that this one company give me an office role as this is a family business company my career is limited. Now its getting near to 1 year that I'm in this company and I am thinking of going back to my original field which is engineering. My problem now is, I applied for a lot of companies but as usual no respond at all. Btw my current role is contract. Need your guys opinion, currently at PD,N9. So what should I do next ? I'm open to share my CV if any of you guys are hiring. Thanks
