I’ve been building a browser-based PDF editor — would love feedback from people who actually work with PDFs

Software (Tools)

I’ve been working on SwiftPDFLab Editor, mainly because I wanted a browser-based PDF workflow that handles more than simple merge/split tasks.

Current areas I’ve spent the most time on are:

- Secure Redaction

- Native PDF Annotations

- OCR

- PDF/A-2b export

- Forms

- Compression

- Signatures and Page Tools

The PDF itself is processed locally in the browser rather than being uploaded for editing.

What I’m most interested in now is feedback from people who actually deal with PDFs regularly:

- What do browser PDF editors usually get wrong?

- Which feature matters most to you?

- What would make you trust/use one instead of Acrobat or another desktop tool?

If anyone wants to try it, it’s here:

Happy to take criticism as well — that’s actually more useful at this stage.
