Template for videos, to make it easier for sources directly from video.

Hello! I have created a video version of the sidebar template you can use if the source is from a video, so that you can just convert it to a GIF pre-edited. It is useful also for those who are not familiar with GIF editing, or who don't have Photoshop.

Instructions:

• Download the template video file here.

• Import the video into your favorite editing program. For the sake of this example I will be using Premiere Pro.

• Try a few different chroma effects to key out the green; in Premiere Pro for example the Non Red Key with Defringing set to Green produces the best results.

• Line up the video under the template, (which includes the actual sound, just for reference purposes,) and be sure when the "Wasted" text pops up to increase the zoom of the source video and to make it black & white.

• When you are finished it should look something like this. (though it was using an earlier version of my template so it shouldn't come out so red.)

• Most programs will let you export straight to GIF; in Premiere's case it will export a 320x240 10fps GIF file by default.

• Imgur is stingy with the maximum GIF size, so I recommend Gfycat for uploading.

I realize it's not the most accurate of templates, but it's certainly made it easier for beginners like me to make decent submissions to this reddit.
