Need a sticky web setter that doesn't rely on a sash to stay alive? I got you covered.

So you want to run some sticky web support but your Galvantula gets hit too hard and just doesn't have the longevity you crave? Fear not, shuckle is here to lift you from you're suicide lead days. With a whopping 230 in defense and special defense your opponent is going to hurt themselves more than they hurt you trying to hit this little guy.

I know what you're saying "He's so slow, he'll get taunted and be worthless, his attack is so terrible he's useless without status moves!" and you're right about two things, he's slow and has terrible attack but this bad boy is far from useless. He's got two attacking moves that strike terror in the hearts of men.

First let me tell you a little something about this move called knock off. Sure, you're not going to do much damage with a shuckle, but you will cripple any pokemon that relies on an item to be useful. "Oh, you wanted that recovery from leftovers? That sucks doesn't it?" Heaps of pokemon hate having their item removed, and shuckle can take the hits before knocking off items and leave room in the movesets of the rest of your team for better coverage moves.

Second, there's this move called infestation. This move lets shuckle trap it's opponents, and deal residual damage each turn (so it doesn't rely on shuckles attack stats). Just watch as your opponent trembles in fear when they realize that they can't get away from this monster.

If you're not totally convinced at this point then I'll remind you that these shuckles can come with the ability contrary, which means if your opponent tries to lower the shucks defenses they're just going to get boosted even more.

Oh yeah, I've also got two of these dudes with blue shells if that means anything to you.

TL:DR; Shuckle's massive defense makes him hard to kill, he can set sticky web, has knock off to ruin some pokemon, gets infestation to trap and damage pokemon, has the ability contrary (or sturdy if you prefer) and I've got 2 shiny ones if your into that. They all come in premier balls.
