I was joking. It's not really that it's his fault, it's just the conceit of the story that every story arc is focused on women in love, so whenever the travelling Smith has re-entered the story it's as the object of some lady's romantic interest.

Or maybe we jump ahead of ourselves. It might not be that she will fall in love with him, but that he will nevertheless make her yearn to be free of her gilden cage, despite how much she loves her husband and the animals and her young son. That's the thing I'm feeling more from this.

Eh maybe just an infatuation on her part I could see him being an outsider and all. She seemed pretty lovey dovey with her hubby

I've been holding off on this series for a while, waiting for it to get more chapters. At first glance, it doesn't seem like the kind of thing I'd normally read, but it's surprisingly realistic.
