How would you guys recommend fixing this? I just got the clicker portion out of the inside of the battery.

I'd say get a new one. I have a magneto I just retired if you'd like it.

Have you tried turning it off then turning it back on?

But no on the real, it's about time for a new one.

I have the same issue with my battery. I'm actually glad I can be of help here. If you're not too fond of aesthetics, what I did was just put the button back in and wrap once around with a length of medical tape.

I've seen suppliers install shorter/lower mAh batteries in the tube and that can allow the circuit board to slide down into the tube. When that happens the button can slide up and pop out.

Depending on how mechanically inclined you are, it is fixable. You need to pull the top connector off and be very careful not to tear the wires off the board or connector. You probably will have less than 1/2" of wire slack.

Then everything should slide out. Be careful with the wires. When it's out compare the battery and circuit board length and if needed, make a spacer to fit in the bottom of the tube.

The one I took apart in this picture has a plastic board carrier that also holds the button. I suspect your device does not have that and that's why I believe you will need to use a spacer. A dab of hot glue may also help to hold the circuit board position.

I bought a new one after 2 days. My button would keep flashing every time you tried to use it. I ended up popping everything out and looking at it. But I ruined the connector in the process. If you are going to experiment. I would drill a hole the size of the connector in a spare 2x4 or a chunk of wood. Then Pull down like a crow bar and it should pop that piece out. But for $10 off ebay with free shipping. less of a head ache.
