I thought weed was how most people in their 30s enjoyed reddit
This is ridiculously ignorant.
Sorry if I offended you, but I speak from personal experience. This stuff held me back for years and I didn't realize my full potential until I quit. I realize this is a very unpopular opinion in the Reddit community.
That's because your experiences may differ completely from that of everybody else. It's very well likely that it may have this outcome on said individual, but it will also depend a lot on that person. If you are very vulnerable to addiction, that might make it less appropriate for you. As well as many other criteria that may affect the outcome. The reason I said it was ignorant was that it seemed to be referring to everyone who smokes pot as opposed to being stated in a more moderate way. Not necessarily that it was incorrect in all cases or offensive to me. The thing with personal experience is that it often lives up to its name, with emphasis on "personal." Take care :)
How old were you when you started smoking it?
This is a silly thing.
People with established personalities are highly unlikely to suddenly quit their jobs to sit home smoking weed. Recreational alcohol is just as inhibiting and carries a far more serious risk of addiction.
So, if you're against recreational marijuana usage for adults, then you should also be against recreational alcohol usage for adults.
Of course, burning anything and breathing the smoke is bad for your lungs, and any chemical that slows your reaction times makes it a bad idea to operate heavy machinery and things, but people are no less likely to be able to act responsibly under the influence of marijuana than they are for alcohol.
The bottom line is that there isn't some magical transformation that happens the first time you light up that makes you move back into your parents basement, quit your job, and stop bathing.
This is not going to go well for you, OP
I know but my curiosity got the best of me.
