Gyms in Glendale?

Hi all,

I'm starting a new job next week and excited that my new hours will open up a much bigger part of the day for activity. I haven't been in good shape for a while and would like to focus on that again.

What are the good gyms around here? Suggestions in Burbank are great too, as I live pretty close to the city lines.

I'm especially curious about cross fit, but I really don't know much about it.

All suggestions are welcome, thanks!

24 Hour Fitness in Burbank. Best one I've been to by far.

PS. Crossfit sucks.

Thanks I'll check it out.

Why does Crossfit suck?

Lifters hate crossfitters, and the same goes the other way around. I lift so I'm part if the former crowd, but basically it doesn't matter. For a gym, I think Burbank athletic club is pretty good, as well as world gym in Burbank. I lived in Glendale my whole life, and went to the gym in Burbank since Glendale doesn't have any great gyms imo.

if you can try the 24 hour gym in Pasadena, that's where I go. The Super sport in Glendale is expensive and the smaller 24 hrs is a bit showy. Burbank 24hrs is nice but still expensive. Burbank has some private gyms booth-camp style ones but I don't know too much about them

24 hour gym on Brand and California is where I go.

In Burbank go to BAC, cheap and decent. Avoid LA total fitness. And unless you are a straight meathead kinda guy I'd avoid world gym. 24 hour is good for the casuals

Wow. I'm looking into BAC and it is the most affordable option by far.

It also looks like it has a good class selection for someone like me.

Thanks! I'll give it a try.

Yup, far cheaper than everything but world, however world is too crowded.
