First time in 5 years, need help replacing my old build.

  • What will you be doing with this PC? Be as specific as possible, and include specific games or programs you will be using.

  • Mainly gaming, should keep me up to date for another 4-5 years, watching streams/videos, uni work(, maybe get into streaming with open broadcaster software myself at some point, maybe getting a second monitor)

  • What is your maximum budget before rebates/shipping/taxes?

  • Budget is flexible, 500-800€, could chip in a bit more if it's really worth it

  • When do you plan on building/buying the PC?

  • In the near future. My current build has some problems with crashes and booting again, so I want to replace it, but there is no rush as long as it still works for the mean time.

  • What, exactly, do you need included in the budget? (Tower/OS/monitor/keyboard/mouse/etc)

  • Tower, no cd/dvd-drive needed, no OS (Win7 should still do the trick, right?), no peripherals

  • Which country (and state/province) will you be purchasing the parts in? If you're in US, do you have access to a Microcenter location?

  • Germany

  • If reusing any parts (including monitor(s)/keyboard/mouse/etc), what parts will you be reusing? Brands and models are appreciated.

  • BenQ G2222HDL monitor, Razer deathadder mouse, microsoft wired keyboard 600 (might be replaced with mechanical keyboard soon), Razer piranha headset, nothing special really

  • Will you be overclocking? If yes, are you interested in overclocking right away, or down the line? CPU and/or GPU?

  • As of now no intention to overclock at any point. I simply don't know anything about it.

  • Are there any specific features or items you want/need in the build? (ex: SSD, large amount of storage or a RAID setup, CUDA or OpenCL support, etc)

  • SSD would be nice as I only ever heard positive things about that

  • Do you have any specific case preferences (Size like ITX/microATX/mid-tower/full-tower, styles, colors, window or not, LED lighting, etc), or a particular color theme preference for the components?

  • no, I guess just a normal tower

  • Do you need a copy of Windows 7 or 8.1 included in the budget? If you do need one included, do you have a preference for one or the other?

  • Got Win7

  • Extra info if required:

I've got like 500-800€ to spend. My budget is rather flexible actually. If I dont need to spend that much for what I want, that's cool but if I need to stretch it out or chip in another 50 bucks or whatever that wouldn't be too much of a problem either as long as it is worth it. I just really want to get my money's worth and not spend too much unnecessarily.

Even though it's a bit over, it's worth it. The GTX 770 is better than the R9-280x, but cheaper than the R9-290 (which is better than the GTX 770).
