Favorite day trips, and what to do there?

Hi r/fresno! I love the "Things to Do in Fresno" post! Great ideas, and I've already checked out a few things on that list.

However, Fresno is often touted for it's close proximity to major attractions in California. Where are your favorite places that go that do not require an overnight stay (so 1-3 hours away) and what do you like to do there?
