Hi Reddit! I am Terry Brooks, author of the Shannara, Landover, and Word/Void series. AMA!

I am Terry Brooks, author of the Shannara series, Landover series, and the Word/Void trilogy.

Today, The High Druid's Blade publishes in the US and UK. It is my first stand-alone Shannara novel since 1996. It also doesn't feature an Ohmsford like my other books in the series. The main character is Paxon Leah, inheritor of the Sword of Leah, and I put him through more danger than a Highlander should have to deal with.

When I'm not writing, I spend my time traveling, enjoying time with my family, and reading whatever I can get my hands on.

Looking forward to answering your questions and talking about fantasy! I will start doing so at 4:00 PM PDT. Feel free to ask me anything!

All the best,

Terry
